Prayer and Praise Points, May 2013 Week Two

Prayer Points

The Free Methodist Church in Chiang Mai.  We were with them last week and had dinner with Pastor Joshua and his wife Aun and the Persing family.  It was a great time of food, fellowship and prayer.  We all brought food enjoying a potluck feast.  We ended our time together in prayer for Joshua, Aun, their daughters, the church and their new home.  Please continue to pray for the church as they are looking for a new property that will allow the church to grow.  Here's a couple pictures from our time in church.

Aun and Chutiman (Pastor Joshua and Aun's
daughter) leading worship.

The church in Chiang Mai in the bottom
floor of a very narrow space.  The other
side has one chair per row.  Only a few
chairs open, a good thing but more room
is needed.

Please also pray for Aun as she desires to set up a business cooking food to help bring in additional support for the family as Joshua's personal income as pastor is right at $60.00 a month from Mission Thailand through Country Shares.

Also pray for their three daughters, Chutiman as she returns to her second and final year in Bible School next week, while Budsakorn enters 10th grade and Warissara enters grade 4 all next week.  Pray for their transitions and that the Lord would allow them to courageously be salt and light in their respective schools.

Please pray for Katelyn and Michaela as they start their travels.  Katelyn to summer employment in Texas as she finished up her junior year and Michaela to Seattle to visit briefly with family and friends before heading to Thailand for an "almost" one-month visit.  Pray for good health as they make their transitions.  Michaela will join her sister in Texas, working together in summer church camps.

Praise Points

Michaela's birthday is today, May 10th.  She turned 19.  It's also her last day as a freshman at Spring Arbor University.  Much to celebrate.  Yeah, another celebration party.  We're so thankful for the Lord giving us Michaela.  She's an amazing young woman.

Praise for the senior art student's testimonies in chapel last week.  Several shared through their art, the work the Lord has done in their time at Grace.  It was amazing to hear such personal stories about their body image and how Christ transformed their outlook and how they've come to accept themselves as He sees them.  Their artwork beautifully displayed their journey to wholeness in Christ.  What a wonderful example of education that is taught from a Christian worldview and that is transformational in the lives of students.  Hopefully we'll be able to share pictures and more details from these students lives in the coming weekly updates.
